Introduction
Towards the end of 2021, biotechnology company QIAGEN announced the completion its European Center of Excellence for Precision Medicine move into Manchester’s CityLabs 2.0, underlining the city’s role as QIAGEN’s global hub for diagnostics development.

Project overview
In total, MVS equipped 43 meeting spaces, with room booking deployed throughout. Of these, 31 rooms were configured as Zoom Rooms using Logitech MeetUp and Logitech Rally systems to suit varying room sizes.
Clevertouch interactive displays with CleverShare USB-C dongles are used for team collaboration in dedicated collaboration spaces, as well as medium and large meeting rooms.

Divisible meeting rooms
Amongst these spaces are three divisible meeting rooms and two training rooms. When closed, the rooms operate as separate Zoom Rooms. When opened out, the AV systems are combined to support larger meetings.
Audio systems using Bose speakers and Shure ceiling microphones are linked together, with a Crestron control panel providing simple room control. For larger events and training sessions, Optoma projectors and drop-down projection screens can be deployed.
Successfully deployed
This large AV installation was successfully delivered following a detailed consultation process to fully understand the use cases for each meeting type and space. This enabled MVS to apply its technical expertise and vendor relationships to design and deliver the right solution for Qiagen.
We’re proud to have played our part in making this Manchester office a site of global excellence.
