Introduction
The Manitou brand was born in France with the invention of the first rough-terrain forklift truck. Since that breakthrough, the company has grown into a global force across construction, industry, and agriculture, with a product range spanning forklifts, cherry pickers, telehandlers, and much more.
Today, Manitou are a global operation spanning over 140 countries. Their UK headquarters is in Verwood, Dorset.
The solution we delivered
Multi-function room 1 (20+ people)
The larger of the two spaces is designed for large-group training sessions, but also for sales and board meetings with large numbers of participants. Frequently these sessions include remote participants.
Depending on the meeting type, the room can be set up classroom-style, as a U-shape, or with a long table stretched down the middle. Additionally, the orientation of the meeting can flip from presenting at the far end to along the side wall.
Therefore, the AV solution we designed needed to cater for every scenario.
The room features two Iiyama displays: an 86″ 4K UHD professional digital signage display for presenting content at scale, and a 75″ PureTouch IR with 40-point touch and Android 11 for interactive sessions, giving trainers the flexibility to annotate, share, and engage directly on screen. An ASUS Google Meet GQE15A drives the video conferencing experience, keeping the setup intuitive and platform-consistent for users.
For audio, we specified the Nureva HDL410, a combined microphone and speaker system designed for larger spaces. Using Nureva’s Microphone Mist technology, the dual-bar configuration simulates thousands of virtual microphones across the room, ensuring every voice is picked up clearly without the need for table or ceiling microphones.
AVer CAM520PRO3 cameras complete the install, giving the room the flexibility to dynamically capture presenters and room participants across a large space, essential when sessions involve sizeable in-room groups and remote attendees simultaneously. Screens are mounted on B-Tech heavy-duty twin cantilever arms, keeping the setup clean and adjustable.
Hands-on training room (10+ people)
This space allows operators to easily switch between getting their hands on Manitou equipment and then moving to a classroom for screen-based presenter-led training.
This room is equipped with a 75″ Iiyama PureTouch IR with 40-point touch and Android 11. As with the multi-function room, this interactive display is mounted on a B-Tech heavy-duty twin cantilever arm, providing a consistent experience for presenters across both spaces.
